Central Park Procession & Pre-MSG Mass Event
On Friday afternoon, September 25, 2015, Pope Francis processed through Central Park from 72nd street down to 60th street in his pope-mobile and motorcade.
As Pope Francis made his way downtown blessing the crowds, A Journey in Faith, a special afternoon program of prayer, reflections, and devotional music occurred before the Mass at Madison Square Garden.
The leaders in song and reflection included: D Train, Gloria Estefan, Harry Connick, Jr., Jennifer Hudson, Kelli O’Hara, Martin Sheen, Michael McElroy and the Broadway Inspirational Voices, Norm Lewis, Rob Mathes, Rosanna Scotto, and St. Charles Borromeo Church / Chapel of the Resurrection.

Songs including How Great Thou Art and Hallelujia were sung and the members of the congregation prayed the rosary in English and Spanish as they awaited the Holy Father's arrival to begin Mass.
