CARDINAL DOLAN TO ORDAIN 12 MEN FOR THE PRIESTHOOD

Ordination to the Priesthood
Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan, Archbishop of New York, will preside at the ordination Mass for the Archdiocese of New York at 9:00 a.m. at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral (5 ^th Avenue and 51 ^st Street) on Saturday, May 23, 2015.

Twelve men will be ordained to the priesthood; ten will serve as diocesan priests and two will serve as Franciscan Friars of Renewal.

Those who will be priests of the archdiocese are: Father James Benavides, Father Sean Connolly, Father Jose Cruz, Father Matthew Reiman, Father Elvin Rivera, Father Stephen Ries, Father Ricardo Garcia, Father Adolphus Emeka Muoghalu, Father Jean-Marie Vianney Uzabakiriho, and Father Adolfo Novio.

Those who will serve as Franciscan Friars of the Renewal are: Father Christopher McBride, C.F.R. and Father Ignatius Shin, C.F.R.

All of the ordinands (men to be ordained) attended St. Joseph’s Seminary, Dunwoodie, the seminary of the Archdiocese of New York.
