COVERAGE ARRANGEMENTS FOR EDWARD CARDINAL EGAN’S FUNERAL

Please read the following carefully:

There is a broadcast feed of Edward Cardinal Egan’s funeral Mass available. Unilateral television cameras will not be permitted inside the Cathedral. Please contact Annette Jolles, pool producer, at [email protected] or 917 743 1182 to make all arrangements.

To cover the Funeral Mass on Tuesday March 10 if you are a print reporter, still photographer, or a reporter for a station with no tv camera:
1. Arrive no later than 12:30 pm.
2. Media will enter St. Patrick’s Cathedral (located on 5th Avenue between 50th and 51st Streets) on the 50th St side entrance at the corner of 5th Avenue. You will go through a security scanner and be escorted to the press area.

Funeral Mass
Procession: 1:30 pm
Mass: 2:00 pm
Entombment: immediately following Mass beneath the Cathedral High Altar

Cardinal Dolan will offer the Funeral Mass as the main celebrant and will deliver the homily.
